The Executive Chairman of Jos South Local Government Area, Hon. Silas Patrick Dung, joined family, friends, and constituents to lay to rest the late Hon. Joshua Dadon Pyeng, the Councilor representing Vwang Ward.
The burial ceremony, held in Vwang, was a solemn event that drew a crowd of mourners who gathered to pay their final respects to the deceased lawmaker.
Speaking at the funeral service, the Executive Chairman offered prayers for the repose of the soul of the departed and for the family he left behind. He urged the congregation to reflect on the transient nature of life and to live righteously.
The Deputy ALGON Boss, extolled the virtues of the late Councilor, describing him as a dedicated public servant and a unifier who was passionate about the development of Vwang Ward and the entire Jos South Local Government.
In a significant gesture to honor the late Councilor’s memory and support his bereaved family, the Executive Chairman announced the appointment of the widow, as a Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Chairman.
Furthermore, the Chairman directed that the newly constructed bridge in Vwang Kogot be named after the late Hon. Joshua Dadon Pyeng. He stated that the naming of the infrastructure would serve as a lasting tribute to his contributions and ensure his name remains etched in the history of the community.



























Earlier, a valedictory service was held on Monday at the Jos South Secretariat in honour of the late Hon. Joshua Dadon Pyeng, ahead of his burial.

















The late Hon. Joshua Dadon Pyeng is survived by his wife, children, and numerous relatives. He was laid to rest amidst tears and tributes from colleagues and constituents.
