The Executive Chairman of Jos South, Hon. Silas Patrick Dung, has attended the funeral of Ngo Yop Pam Jang, wife of the late Da Ezekiel Pam Jang, the elder brother of former Governor Da Jonah David Jang. She was laid to rest at the age of 95, just 40 days after her husband’s own passing.
During the funeral service, the Executive Chairman offered special gratitude to the church, community, and traditional rulers.
He then reflected intimately on the departed, saying he saw her not as his uncle’s wife but as a grandmother. She was a friend to all who knew her, and from her he gained many valuable lessons.
On behalf of the government, he extended condolences to the entire family.
Distinguished Senator Da Jonah Jang, while addressing the congregation in a vote of thanks, began with words of gratitude.
Senator Jang particularly, expressed appreciation for the outpouring of love and support. He thanked all those who, since the demise of Ngo Yop Pam Jang, had been coming into the house with words of comfort. He prayed that the good Lord Almighty, who had brought them safely, would take them back to their destinations safely.
The double loss of Da Ezekiel Pam Jang in March and now his 95-year-old wife, just over a month later, has left a vacuum. Family members say the pair shared an uncommon bond in life, and now, remarkably, in death.
